Atletico Madrid provoked Real Madrid through its official account on the X platform, days before their anticipated confrontation in the Spanish League.
Real had filed an official complaint against the Spanish referees committee after the serious mistakes that caused the Merengue to lose 1-0 to Espanyol.
Atletico mocked the pressures exerted by the Royal Club’s management on the referees by exploiting the club’s channel, over the past two seasons.
The Rojiblancos account wrote, “How to prepare for the next derby match, first, good physical preparation, second, massage before the match, comprehensive analysis of the competitors, using the official television again to pressure the referees.”
Reactions poured in, whether from Atletico fans who were happy with the way they provoked their arch-rival, or from Real fans who were extremely angry with those who criticize the fierce attack on the refereeing.
It is worth noting that the difference between the two capital teams before the derby scheduled for next Saturday is one point in Real’s favor, which makes the match an early final.
