The Turkish Football Federation’s arbitration committee decided to punish Fenerbahce coach Jose Mourinho for what he did during and after the recent match against Trabzonspor.
The Portuguese coach had a fight with Trabzonspor fans and players after his team’s exciting 3-2 win, then went to the media and launched a strong attack on Turkish football in general.
According to the committee’s statement, Mourinho is banned from being in the locker room or appearing on the bench for the duration of a match with Fenerbahce because of what he did.
The punishment will not be limited to this, as the “Special One” was fined 15 thousand pounds for his actions, which were considered to be a damage to the reputation of Turkish football and contrary to the principles of fair play.
Mourinho had said that Fenerbahce was fighting the entire system and was being subjected to deliberate refereeing injustice, and that if he had known the real situation of Turkish football, he would not have agreed to coach the team.
At the end of his speech, Mourinho said that the Turkish league has a “bad smell”, referring to the compliments that always happen to Galatasaray club in particular.
