Barcelona regained their winning ways in La Liga with a 5-1 win over Mallorca in Round 19.
The Catalan club had been winless in their last 3 La Liga matches after losing to Real Sociedad and Las Palmas and drawing with Celta Vigo.
Hansi Flick’s squad had a stumbling start to the Mallorca match, after Ferran Torres took the lead and Vedat Muriqi equalized minutes before the end of the first half.
With Torres’ goal, Barcelona equaled Real Madrid’s record as the team that exploited the most defensive mistakes of their opponents in La Liga this season (5 mistakes each).
In the second half, Barcelona rebounded by scoring 4 goals through Raphinha (two goals), Frenkie de Jong and substitute Pau Victor.
With his two goals, Raphinha became the second most contributor in the top five leagues, with 19 goals, scoring 11 and creating 8 in La Liga.
Omar Marmoush is still the most contributor with 20 goals, while Kane shares second place with Raphinha with 19 contributions, followed by Mohamed Salah in third place with 18 goals.
It should be noted that Barcelona is the only club that has two players who have scored more than 10 goals in the top five leagues, namely Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.
With Barcelona’s victory, their tally rose to 36 points, temporarily increasing the gap between them and Real Madrid to 4 points with two fewer matches for the royal club.
