Al-Ittihad officials are close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona to buy reserve team captain Unai Hernandez.
According to the famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ittihad has made an official offer to Barcelona to buy Hernandez for an amount ranging from 4 to 5 million euros.
As for the Catalan club, they welcomed the idea of selling the 20-year-old, while the player is showing interest in joining Laurent Blanc’s squad.
Negotiations between the two parties are currently in very advanced stages, and are expected to be resolved within the next few hours, especially since all parties involved welcome this step.
Hernandez is one of the most prominent players in Barcelona’s youth team, and he participated in the preparation period with the first team of Barca last summer.
Hernandez, who began his career with Girona youth team and then moved to Barca youth team, is good at playing in the attacking midfield position, as well as the left wing.
If he is sold for 5 million euros, it may be the beginning of providing space to sign at least one player for Barcelona in the few remaining days of the winter transfer window.
