Barcelona may lose Xavi Hernandez in El Clasico against Real Madrid!
Barcelona’s difficulties will increase when they visit the Santiago Bernabeu in April to face Real Madrid, as the Catalan club is expected to lose its coach, Xavi Hernandez, on the bench.
Xavi Hernandez received a red card during Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the 29th round of La Liga.
Because of this card, “Sport” newspaper confirms that Xavi will be suspended for 3 matches, and thus he will not be present in El Clásico.
Instead of being suspended for just one or two matches, Xavi will receive a severe punishment for being a repeated violation, as the coach received 6 yellow cards and 2 red cards in the current season of La Liga.
On Barcelona’s part, there is no intention for the club to appeal the punishment, whatever it may be, as there is a belief within Joan Laporta’s administration that this will be a “waste of time” and will be of no use.
If the penalty published by Sport is true, Xavi will not be present in the matches between Las Palmas and Cadiz, which precede the El Clásico expected to take place on April 21.
