Barcelona faces an imminent danger of losing Dani Olmo in January due to the inability to register him in the team list with the return of injured players.
Olmo, who moved to Barça last summer for 60 million euros from Leipzig, was registered as a replacement for the injured Andreas Christensen, considering that the Dane needed more than 4 months to recover.
Now Christensen will return, and Olmo will not be restricted, and the Spanish player’s contract stipulates that he has the right to leave for free if Barça fails to register him this winter.
According to the newspaper “Sport”, the player’s father, Mikel Olmo, and lawyer Ramon Valencia met with the Barcelona administration to seek a serious step towards resolving this dilemma.
The newspaper indicates that Barça is about to file a lawsuit to confirm that their economic situation allows for Olmo to be registered, especially after the new Nike contract.
Joan Laporta’s administration hopes to find a quick solution to the crisis in light of what is being said that Premier League clubs, led by Manchester City, are seeking to sign Olmo if his situation becomes more complicated with the Blaugrana.
It is worth noting that Olmo participated in 14 matches this season with Barcelona, during which he managed to score 6 goals and make another goal.
