Barcelona players usually choose Lionel Messi as their idol, but Victor Roque, who is on loan this season to Real Betis, had a different opinion.
The Brazilian international revealed in a media interview that his idol is Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Roque justified this by saying, “I was always interested in Ronaldo when he was with Real Madrid, he is my idol and I want to be like him, and now I support Al-Nassr because of him.”
The 19-year-old also talked about his time with Barcelona, saying, “It was bad, I did not play much and suffered greatly, now I am happy at Real Betis.”
Roque participated this season with Betis in 14 matches in all competitions, during which he managed to score 5 goals.
Roque’s loan to the Andalusian club ends at the end of this season, but it is unlikely that he will return to Barcelona again in light of the lack of conviction of the Blaugrana management or coach Hansi Flick in his abilities.
