Barcelona Refuses to Sign 3 Strikers This Summer!

Sport reported that three strikers were offered to Barcelona’s management for signing next summer, but the Catalans rejected them all.

The first and most logical option was Jonathan David, the Lille striker whose contract expires at the end of the current season. However, Barça’s management doubted he would succeed at Camp Nou due to his greater reliance on space, a characteristic that is not usually available in the Blaugrana’s matches.

On the other hand, Joan Laporta’s administration believed that a deal for Devic would be financially costly and pointless. Taking into account the player’s salary, commissions, and the free transfer bonus, the total would be €60 million, a sum that Barça’s coffers cannot currently afford.

The second striker offered to Barcelona was Dusan Vlahovic, the Juventus striker, but the Catalan club has no interest in him and does not see him as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski, so he has been completely excluded from consideration.

The final option was Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, on loan at Galatasaray, but Joan Laporta and his teammates believe the deal is financially impossible. Barcelona would need to pay Napoli more than €60 million first, and then pay him a salary of €20 million per year.

It is likely that Barcelona will not sign a new striker next summer, relying on Robert Lewandowski’s continued brilliance, focusing solely on Hansi Flick’s clear demand for a skilled left winger.
