A number of English clubs are seeking to sign one of Barcelona’s stars this season next summer, according to English press reports.
This star is Marc Casado, who has become a key player in coach Hansi Flick’s squad this season, and has transformed from an outcast to one of Barca’s most important midfielders.
According to the report, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle all want to sign Casado next season.
The 21-year-old is linked to Barcelona until the summer of 2028, with a release clause of 100 million euros, which makes Joan Laporta’s management not worried about Premier League clubs’ interest in him.
Casado has played 15 matches this season so far, during which he has managed to create 5 goals, 3 of which were in the last 3 matches against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and the derby against Espanyol.
Barcelona were open to selling Casado last summer because they were not convinced of his abilities, but the player’s level changed completely with the arrival of Hansi Flick, and for the first time in his career he received a call-up to the Spanish national team during the international break this November.
