Barcelona submits official offer for Dani Olmo

Barcelona has taken the first step towards signing Dani Olmo this summer, after sending an official offer to his agent in the past few hours.

According to “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper, the contract is largely balanced, as the club is trying to convince the player to join its ranks with a low salary but for a long period that he will not have in any other club, which guarantees him stability.

Barcelona offered Olmo a 6-year contract, with his salary in the first two years not being high, then it will start to increase gradually from the third year in line with fair play rules.

At the same time, Joan Laporta’s management informed Olmo’s representatives that they are ready to pay 60 million euros to Leipzig, which is the same value of the release clause that will expire at the end of July 20.

However, Barcelona’s management has stipulated that these 60 million euros be divided into a fixed part and a variable part.

In principle, Olmo is unlikely to object to a salary reduction in exchange for a long contract, especially since he has dreamed of returning to Barcelona for years.

But Leipzig remains the only stumbling block in the way of completing this deal, as it seems clear that the German club will demand more than 60 million euros and may not agree to the idea of dividing the amount either.
