Barcelona’s ‘Ridiculous’ Offer for Olmo Angers Leipzig

Sport has revealed the details of the offer Barcelona made to Leipzig for Dani Olmo this summer.

Barcelona offered to pay €40 million as a fixed fee for Olmo, but in installments of €10 million each year until 2029.

The offer also includes €20 million in variables, with Barcelona paying €10 million if they win La Liga and another €10 million if they win the Champions League.

According to the latest report, Leipzig’s management was very upset with the offer and considered it “ridiculous” by all standards.

In principle, Leipzig’s management is not against the idea of installments, but for a figure closer to €60 million and with more reasonable conditions than those proposed by Barcelona.

In the same context, the website Foot Mercato revealed that Manchester City is still in the race and wants to sign Olmo this summer.

The Spanish international clearly wants to join Barcelona, but the Catalan club’s difficult economic situation makes City the more realistic option to close the deal if they want to.
