Sky Sports has revealed that Bayern Munich is close to reaching an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of Jonathan Tah.
The German defender has been a target for Bayern since the beginning of the summer, but a disagreement over the transfer fee with Leverkusen has caused a delay in the deal until now.
According to the latest report, a breakthrough has been made in negotiations between Bayern and Leverkusen, and there is now a near-agreement between the two parties on the value of the deal.
Bayern will pay €25 million, plus another €5 million in variables to sign Tah, whose contract with Leverkusen expires next summer.
Tah will be Bayern’s fourth signing this summer, after the Bavarian club signed Hiroki Ito for €23 million, Palhinha for €51 million, and Michaël Olise for €60 million.
The deal is expected to be finalized officially once Bayern succeeds in selling Matthijs de Ligt, who is on the verge of joining Manchester United in the coming hours.
