In contrast, Barcelona won 2-1 against Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Rayo Vallecano, and currently leads the La Liga standings with 9 points.
Since the 2006-2007 season, Real Madrid has not succeeded in winning the La Liga title when they trailed Barcelona by 4 points.
