Sport reported that Barcelona star Ansu Fati’s psychological state has deteriorated due to the significant marginalization he has suffered from coach Hansi Flick since last January.
The Spanish international refused to leave the Blaugrana last winter, preferring to fight for his place, but since then, he has barely made an appearance and, more recently, hasn’t even been included in the Barça squad for a single match.
According to the report, Fati has become incredibly “psychologically shattered” and, for the first time, is open to leaving next summer, convinced that no matter how hard he works and how well he performs in training, he won’t gain Flick’s trust.
At the same time, the 22-year-old is extremely frustrated with Barcelona, believing the club has completely marginalized him, even in simple matters such as highlighting him on social media with photos from training.
It’s worth noting that Fati’s contract still runs until 2027, but Barcelona would not mind selling him for a small sum to offload his salary, hoping this would help reduce the wage bill in line with Financial Fair Play regulations.
It’s also worth noting that Fati was on the radar of Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, and Fenerbahçe last winter, and he is expected to find other exciting options in the coming period, particularly from La Liga clubs.
