All indications indicate that Joshua Kimmich’s relationship with Bayern Munich has collapsed and that the player will leave the Bavarian club during the current summer Mercato.
This was also confirmed by Sky Sports, which indicated that renewing Kimmich’s contract, which expires next summer, is currently neither expected nor realistic.
At the same time, the newspaper “Bild”, which is close to Bayern Munich, revealed that the German club’s management intends to sell Kimmich this summer instead of him leaving for free next summer.
Sports director Max Eberl set a value ranging between 30 to 40 million euros only to agree to sell Kimmich to any club interested in obtaining his services.
Considering the football market, this value is very low and does not match Kimmich’s value as one of the most prominent German players of this era, and makes his departure from the Allianz Arena very smooth.
Kimmich is already receiving interest from Barcelona, but Barcelona’s financial situation does not allow him to make the deal currently, so the English Premier League is the closest practical destination for the 29-year-old.
