The numbers prove that Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is better than Mohamed Salah in the English Premier League over the last season and a half.
Jackson contributed to his team’s 2-1 victory over Brentford on Sunday by scoring a goal, thus reducing the gap between the Blues and Liverpool to only two points in favor of the Reds.
The Senegalese striker’s goal was his 9th this season in the Premier League, while Salah is the competition’s top scorer with 13 points.
But in reality, there is a point where Jackson outperforms Salah, and the talk here is about the number of goals scored outside of penalty kicks from the 2023-24 season until now.
With his goal against Brentford, Nicolas Jackson is now outperforming Salah, as he scored 23 goals without any penalty kicks, while the Egyptian star scored 22 goals.
Overall, although Jackson was the subject of much mockery in his first season at Stamford Bridge, he quickly proved himself to be one of the most powerful young strikers in the world.
The 23-year-old joined the Blues in the summer of 2023 for €37 million, and his market value is currently estimated at more than €40 million.
