Player agent Omar Zaalouk claimed that Sergio Ramos has agreed to move to Zamalek.
Ramos has been without a club since his contract with Sevilla ended last summer, and has been linked to several Saudi and American clubs in recent months.
Zaalouk said in statements to On Time Sports channel, “I contacted Ramos’ agent at the request of Ali Hisham Nasr (son of the club’s vice president).”
He also added, “We held more than one meeting and completed everything. Ramos does not mind playing in Egypt at all, and the subject is open and will be discussed again after the Super Cup match.”
He continued, “The difference between Zamalek and Ramos is currently over the club’s counterpart. Zamalek made an offer, but the player wants a higher amount, and we have not reached a compromise yet.”
He concluded, “It is possible that we will see Ramos officially join Zamalek after the Super Cup match.”
Zamalek will face Al-Ahly next Friday in the African Super Cup, and it is expected that the Whites will then begin working on further reinforcements in the midfield and attack, and the center-back position remains one of the positions in which it is said that the club will include at least one player.
