Real Madrid has issued an official statement announcing that Jude Bellingham has suffered an injury, without specifying the duration of his absence from the field.
The English international, during training, suffered what Carlo Ancelotti described as a “blow” and underwent medical tests on Friday.
According to the royal club, Bellingham’s injury is in his right leg, and his return date to the field depends on the extent of his recovery from the injury.
At the same time, the newspaper “Marca” confirmed that Bellingham’s absence will extend for at least a month from Real Madrid.
Initially, Bellingham’s absence from the England national team, which will play two matches in the upcoming international break in the UEFA Nations League, is confirmed.
Bellingham’s absence for a month means that he will not be able to participate in Real’s first match in the Champions League group stage.
He will also miss the matches against Valladolid, Las Palmas, Betis, Real Sociedad, and Espanyol in La Liga.
The 22-year-old’s return to the Santiago Bernabeu will be in the last two weeks of September at the earliest.
Thus, Bellingham joins Real’s injury list which includes Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba.
