Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has made fiery comments following his team’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
City led through Josko Gvardiol until the 86th minute, when United managed to come back from a penalty kick by Bruno Fernandes and then a wonderful goal by Amad Diallo.
The eighth defeat in the last 11 matches prompted Bernardo to be highly critical of himself and his team-mates, blaming everyone and refusing to hold any individual responsible.
The Portuguese told the media after the match: “If we were an under-15 team, we would have performed better than we did in the last quarter of an hour.”
He added: “If you are going to make stupid decisions in the last minutes of a match of this size, you will pay the price, we really deserve what is happening to us.”
He continued: “Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with what is happening to us, bad luck can affect one or two games, but we have lost in ten games.”
“We are all in a bad state, that’s for sure, every player has to look at himself and see his level and his work, everyone bears what is happening to us.”
City dropped to fifth place in the Premier League and practically it became difficult for them to compete for the title, and they also said goodbye to the Carabao Cup and occupy a late position in the Champions League.
