Marc Bernal’s injury with a cruciate ligament rupture and the end of his season caused Barcelona’s management to enter the summer transfer market again, this time in search of a midfielder.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona’s management sent an official offer to its counterpart in Liverpool to sign promising player Stefan Bajcetic on loan.
The offer included that the Catalan club’s management pay 4 million euros for Bajcetic’s loan, with no purchase clause next summer, which would greatly tempt Liverpool.
In the past hours, the 19-year-old had reached an agreement with Austrian Red Bull Salzburg to join its ranks on loan, but with Barcelona’s entry, it seems that things may change.
Bajcetic was promoted to Liverpool’s first team in 2022, and has since played 22 matches, scoring a single goal.
The only negative thing about Bajcetic’s record is his frequent injuries, which caused him to miss almost the entire last season, but he remains one of the most promising midfielders in the world.
