The match between Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim in the third round of the Bundesliga witnessed a very strange incident, whose hero was Nigerian Victor Boniface.
Boniface scored the first goal for Leverkusen in the 30th minute, then headed to the stands of the Bay Arena stadium and did the strangest thing possible, which is taking off his shorts.
Players usually celebrate their goals in different ways, but Boniface chose this method for an unknown reason so far, and surprised everyone who watched the match.
This is not the first controversial incident for the Nigerian striker, as he made an obscene gesture to the opposing players in the Super Cup match against Stuttgart after his team won on penalties, and was suspended for two matches in the Cup.
Boniface scored another goal against Hoffenheim in the 70th minute, in the match that Xabi Alonso’s squad won 4-1, thus compensating for the defeat of the previous round against Leipzig.
The picture speaks for what Boniface did.
