Manchester City fans provoked Vinicius Junior at the Etihad Stadium before the start of the English club’s match with Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The City fans raised a giant banner reading “Stop crying” in reference to Vinicius as the players entered the stadium, with a picture of Rodri with the Golden Ball.
The cameras then captured Rodri from the stands of the Etihad Stadium watching the match, as he cannot participate due to a torn cruciate ligament.
After the camera came to Vinicius’ face while he was chanting the Champions League slogan, he seemed to threaten the fans with a response in the stadium and expressed his readiness for the match.
Vinicius and Real Madrid had boycotted the Golden Ball ceremony because of Rodri’s coronation with the award.
Real officials, as well as Vinicius, continue to talk on every occasion about how unfair it is that the Brazilian was not crowned with the award, which explains the giant picture at the Etihad Stadium to respond to that.
