Courtois is the happiest.. Announcing the new coach of the Belgian national team

The Belgian Football Association has reached an agreement with Rudi Garcia to be the coach of the national team until the 2026 World Cup.

The German-Italian coach Domenico Tedesco was dismissed from his position as coach of the Belgian national team in the coming days after failing to achieve any noteworthy achievement over the course of two years.

Garcia will take over the coaching of Belgium immediately, to begin his journey with two decisive matches against Ukraine in the European Nations League on March 20 and 23.

According to Belgian media, the first decision that Garcia will make is to return Real Madrid star Thibaut Courtois to guard the national team’s goal after he was excluded for the last two years due to his differences with Tedesco.

Garcia’s last experiences in the world of coaching were somewhat unsuccessful, after he succeeded Luciano Spalletti in coaching Napoli, then was dismissed in the middle of the season.

Before that, the Frenchman was at the helm of Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia, but he was also dismissed due to poor results.

Garcia’s career is long and full of successes, as he previously coached Roma, Marseille and Lyon, and his most distinguished experience remains with Lille in 2011 when he achieved the local double in France.
