The global Goal website reported that the Saudi Al-Ittihad management has begun preparing to make an offer that cannot be rejected to the Liverpool management in order to include Mohamed Salah next summer.
The Egyptian international’s contract with the Reds expires in the summer of 2025, and in the event of receiving an offer of exceptional value, Liverpool may welcome his sale, given that the player has reached the 32-year-old barrier.
According to the source, Al-Ittihad’s offer to include Salah is worth 70 million pounds sterling, and in practice there is no offer that could reach this value, which might tempt Liverpool.
Salah’s position itself remains unknown, as there is a lot of talk about the player’s anxiety due to the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the unclear vision of the future at Anfield yet.
The decision will be in the hands of Liverpool’s new CEO Michael Edwards, who tends to rely on more young players and has recently begun preparing for the post-Salah era.
It is worth noting that Salah is not the only player from the Premier League that the Saudi League is seeking to attract next summer, as there are huge attempts to include Kevin De Bruyne and Raphael Varane.
