Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement from football seems imminent, and the 39-year-old has expressed his only wish after leaving the world of the beautiful game.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr runs until the end of next season, and his future remains unknown after that, although it is most likely that he will continue for another year to play in the 2026 World Cup.
Ronaldo has begun talking about what he aspires to after retirement, and when asked about his only wish, he replied, “I want my children to raise the family name high, that is my dream when I retire.”
Ronaldo’s eldest son, Junior, plays for Al-Nassr’s youth team, and the duo dream of playing together in the first team, which is one of the reasons the Portuguese star continues playing football until now.
It remains possible that Ronaldo will move into coaching after retiring from football, or at least work in administration and not completely sever his ties with the sport.
