“Cristiano Ronaldo will participate as a player in the 2030 World Cup!”

Portuguese football star Nani stressed that Cristiano Ronaldo will be at the top of the list of the Portuguese national team participating in the 2030 World Cup.

Portugal will host the 2030 World Cup in partnership with Spain and Morocco, and Nani believes that Ronaldo’s presence as a player will happen even though he will be 45 years old by then.

The former Manchester United star said about this, “I have no doubt that Ronaldo will be in the 2030 World Cup.”

He also added, “He will undergo a new diet to stay slim and flexible. We hope that Cristiano will be there to score goals.”

Nani’s expectations contradict the reality confirmed by Ronaldo, as the Saudi Al-Nassr star previously said that Euro 2024 was his last with Portugal, and that the 2026 World Cup is his last as well.

Ronaldo generally dreams of continuing in football until his son grows up and they play together, which may keep him on the football pitches after the 2026 World Cup.

It is worth noting that Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr expires at the end of this season, and negotiations are ongoing between the two parties to extend the contract for another year, after which the fate of “Don” will be completely unknown, between retirement or continuation.
