Al-Ain succeeded in overcoming the Auckland City obstacle in the 2024 Intercontinental Cup, to set a date with Al-Ahly in what will be called the “Africa – Asia – Oceania Cup”.
According to the “FIFA” announcement, the Al-Ahly and Al-Ain match will be held in the Egyptian capital at Cairo International Stadium.
Al-Ahly has never met Al-Ain in an official match before, and now the conflict between them will be for a world title that will be counted regardless of the rest of the two teams’ journey in the tournament.
The winner of this match will play against the winner of the “Derby of the Americas” between Pachuca and the Copa Libertadores champion, scheduled for December 11 in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The “Challenge Cup” is scheduled to be held between the winner of Al-Ahly and Al-Ain and the winner of the Latin Derby on December 14 in Doha, and the winner of this match will meet Real Madrid in the 2024 Intercontinental Cup final on December 18.
