Kevin De Bruyne has expressed his openness to the idea of continuing in the Premier League after leaving Manchester City when his contract expires next June.
The Belgian star is receiving significant interest from Inter Miami and several Saudi clubs to sign him on a free transfer, but the player maintains his hopes of continuing in Europe.
“Staying in the Premier League? Honestly, I don’t know. It might happen, it might not happen,” De Bruyne told reporters.
He added, “My decision to leave City was very recent, and I haven’t been able to discuss it with my family enough, but anything is possible.”
He concluded, “I love playing football. If an attractive project arises that allows me to continue at a high level and is compatible with my family, why not?”
There has been no news so far of any English club showing interest in De Bruyne, but there have been several reports of interest from the top five European leagues.
French media had linked the 33-year-old De Bruyne with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, before the capital club denied the reports.
