The Italian journalist specializing in transfer news, Rudi Galetti, claimed that Kevin De Bruyne had agreed to transfer to one of the Saudi League clubs during the current summer Mercato.
This news comes a few days after De Bruyne’s statements in which he announced that he will remain with City next season and may even begin a round of negotiations to renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.
But Galetti confirms that Saudi Investment Fund officials met with De Bruyne in recent days and agreed with him on all the details of his transfer to Al-Ittihad Club, and the player expressed initial approval.
The Belgian international’s transfer to Al-Ittihad currently depends on Manchester City’s position and the extent of the English club’s openness to selling the player or continuing him until the end of his contract or renewing it.
In general, City does not stand in the way of its players’ desire to leave, which enhances the possibilities of the 32-year-old joining Al-Ittihad in the next few weeks.
It remains to be noted that De Bruyne had expressed his desire to join the Saudi League to earn huge amounts of money, but then he came back and said that he had not met any officials and that he wanted to continue with Manchester City, which increases the uncertainty of his future.
