The Liverpool Echo network reported the truth of the news circulating about Trent Alexander-Arnold informing Liverpool’s management that he will move to Real Madrid next summer for free.
The English star’s contract with the Reds expires at the end of the current season, and so far, renewal negotiations are ongoing between him and the English club amid great interest from Real Madrid to sign him.
The newspaper “Marca” revealed on Friday that Arnold informed Liverpool’s management that he is excited to have a new experience outside the Premier League and chose to move to Real.
However, the Liverpool Echo network, which is close to Liverpool’s management, confirms that what was reported in this regard is baseless.
So far, Arnold has not made his final decision regarding renewing with Liverpool or moving to Real Madrid, and the Reds’ management is optimistic about the possibility of reaching an agreement with the player regarding renewal soon.
This news comes hours after other news that Real Madrid’s management contacted Liverpool’s management and informed them that they would begin negotiations with Arnold as part of their keenness to maintain a good relationship with the English.
It is worth noting that Arnold has played 22 matches with Liverpool this season in all competitions, during which he made 5 goals, but he has not scored himself yet.
