Did Mohamed Salah deliberately mock Arsenal’s “pain”?

Mohamed Salah has sparked some controversy on social media after a post that was seen as mocking and gloating over Arsenal.

Liverpool managed to beat Brentford 2-0 on Saturday, and a few hours later Arsenal tied with Aston Villa 2-2, widening the gap between the two giants to 6 points with one game less for the Reds.

Immediately after the Arsenal and Aston Villa match, Salah posted a picture of himself laughing with Brentford’s star player, Darwin Nunez.

Many believed that the Egyptian star had arranged to publish this picture specifically after Arsenal’s defeat to gloat over the Gunners’ defeat and the Reds’ approaching another step towards achieving the Premier League.

Another team went on to consider that this analysis is inaccurate, as Salah, as one of Liverpool’s leaders, only wanted to celebrate Nunez’s brilliance and his very important double against Brentford.

It is noteworthy that Salah failed to score or create for the second time in a row in the Premier League, which was exploited by Erling Haaland by scoring a goal against Ipswich Town to tie him at the top of the competition’s scorers list.
