It seems the saga of Vitor Roque’s future will continue until the end of the current summer transfer window, after a dispute between him and the Barcelona management escalated in recent hours.
Barcelona wants to get rid of Roque after he was completely left out of coach Xavi’s plans, and the player is also willing to leave, but the two parties have different formulas.
According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Roque wants to leave Barcelona permanently, while the Catalan club wants to only loan him out.
Because of this, the dispute is at its peak between Barcelona and Roque’s representatives, especially after the exorbitant condition set by the Blaugrana management to accept their desire for the 19-year-old’s permanent departure.
This condition is that any club wanting Roque must pay at least 30 million euros, the same amount that Barcelona paid to Atletico Paranaense to avoid any economic losses.
At the moment, no European club is willing to pay this amount for a young player who has not proven himself, so a loan seems the most logical option, but Roque remains determined to reject it.
