Mohamed Salah ended the controversy over the meaning of his new goal celebration this season using a bow and arrow.
The Liverpool star celebrated in this way when he scored his first goal in the Premier League this season against Ipswich Town, and with it theories were raised that it symbolizes the logo of Zamalek Club or the Pharaohs.
The official Zamalek account on the X platform retweeted a picture of Salah indicating that the 32-year-old was referring to the White Castle.
Salah was asked about the meaning of the new celebration, to which he replied, “I was watching a UFC fight between Pereira and Adesanya, and Adesanya won the second fight and celebrated this way.”
He also added, “Adesanya celebrated this way because Pereira defeated him in the first fight, I loved this celebration and that’s why I decided to do it this season.”
He concluded, “People considered it a symbol of the Egyptian pharaoh who they draw on temples or in the pyramids in this way.”
