Doucoure entered history through the widest doors, after surpassing a number of historic goals in the Premier League and becoming the fourth fastest goal throughout the history of the competition that extends back to 1992.

Sean Long’s goal for Southampton against Watford in the 2018-2019 season remains the fastest in history, as it came after only 7 seconds from the start of the match.
Philip Billing also scored the second fastest goal in history, for Bournemouth against Arsenal in the 2022-23 season after nine seconds, half a second faster than the third fastest goal by Ledley King for Tottenham at Bradford City in 2000-01.
Overall, Doucoure’s goal is the fastest ever in Everton’s history.
The Mali international’s strike undoubtedly had a positive impact on David Moyes’ side, who eventually won 4-0 at Leicester City and reached 15th place on 26 points.
