The Saudi King’s Cup quarter-final draw was held on Wednesday evening after the round of 16 matches were full of surprises.
Al-Nassr bid farewell to the King’s Cup in the round of 16 after losing to Al-Taawoun 1-0, in a match in which Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty kick in the last minute.
The second surprise was Al-Ettifaq’s farewell to the competition in the same round after an unexpected defeat by Al-Jabalain (one of the Yelo League teams) 3-1.
The quarter-final draw resulted in an early final, as Al-Ittihad will meet Al-Hilal at the latter’s stadium, while Al-Shabab will play Al-Fayha in a match expected to be enjoyable.
Al-Raed will play against the dark horse, Al-Jabalain, while Al-Qadisiyah will have an exciting date with the owner of the most important surprises of the round of 16, Al-Taawoun.
The quarter-final matches will be held between January 6 and 7, followed by a draw to determine the semi-final matches as usual.
