Barcelona is about to appoint a professional chef to work permanently with the first football team, at the direct request of coach Hansi Flick.
According to the newspaper “Sport”, Robert Lewandowski complained about the quality of cooking eggs during one of Barcelona’s trips, which prompted Flick to intervene and raise the matter to the management.
The German coach informed the management that they should appoint a professional chef instead of relying on traditional catering services in order to provide the best possible quality food for the players.
Flick believes that such small details can make a difference and improve the levels of each player on the field, especially since eggs are one of the most important nutritional elements for athletes.
Barcelona has already begun, according to “Sport”, to conduct interviews with prestigious chefs in order to appoint one of them in the coming days and fulfill Flick’s orders.
The matter is supervised by nutritionist Silvia Tremoleda, who joined Barça in 2021 from Manchester City, and is said to play a major role in the good physical condition of Barcelona players this season.
