Egyptian Player Arrested in Paris on Sexual Assault Charges

French newspaper “Le Parisien” reported that Egyptian wrestler Mohamed Ibrahim Kishou has been arrested on sexual assault charges.

Kishou participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics but was eliminated in the round of 16. Notably, he is the bronze medalist for Egypt at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

According to the report, Kishou spent the night in a Paris cafe and left at 4:30 AM. He was then arrested after being accused of placing his hands on a woman’s buttocks in the street.

The 26-year-old justified the incident by claiming that he was extremely drunk. According to “Le Parisien,” he is now in police custody.

The Egyptian Olympic Committee announced the opening of an investigation into the incident, and if it is proven that the player committed this mistake, the matter will lead to his being disbarred and excluded from practicing sports locally and internationally.
