The Telegraph newspaper revealed that Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush is on the verge of moving to the English Premier League for the first time in his career.
Marmoush is one of the most prominent players in the German league. Last season, he scored 17 goals with Frankfurt in all competitions, and it was said that Liverpool was following him and wanted to sign him.
According to the latest report, the club interested in signing Marmoush is Nottingham Forest, which is doing everything to sign a striker before the end of the current summer Mercato.
Nottingham tried to sign Santiago Jimenez and Eddie Nketiah, but negotiations faltered, so it turned to Marmoush and began negotiating with Frankfurt.
The English club is willing to pay 20 million euros to sign Marmoush, a value that does not initially seem to be accepted by Frankfurt, but the Germans are willing to negotiate in this regard.
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most important players in recent years, having excelled with Wolfsburg and Stuttgart before moving to Frankfurt on a free transfer last season.
It should be noted that Marmoush has previously stated that his biggest dream is to play in the English Premier League, which increases the chances of him moving to Nottingham.
