Eintracht Frankfurt captain and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has announced that Omar Marmoush has already left the German club.
The Egyptian star has a tempting offer from Manchester City to secure his services this winter, and according to recent reports, the player has accepted it and asked Frankfurt to allow him to leave.
A number of Frankfurt fans met Kevin Trapp to get souvenir photos and an autograph, then asked him about Marmoush’s future.
Trapp simply said, “Marmoush has left and is no longer with us.” When asked if he would join Manchester City, he replied that he did not know.
According to Fabrizio Romano, City sent an official offer to Frankfurt in the past hours and an agreement between the two parties on the deal is very imminent.
It remains unknown whether the 25-year-old will participate in the match between Frankfurt and Freiburg on Tuesday, or whether he will prefer not to take risks for fear of suffering an injury that would delay his start with City.
It is noteworthy that Marmoush is the second top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 14 goals, noting that the Egyptian scored 19 goals and made 12 others in 25 matches in all tournaments so far.
