Egyptian media revealed that Emam Ashour has contacted Al Ahly’s management to adjust his salary to align with the club’s new salary cap.
Al Ahly is in the process of signing Ahmed Sayed Zizo, who will receive an annual salary of up to EGP 80 million. Achraf Bencharki Salary exceeds EGP 60 million.
Mahmoud El Khatib’s management is also working to renew goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy’s contract, ensuring he earns approximately EGP 50 million annually.
According to recent reports, Emam Ashour’s total salary, including advertising, is only EGP 35 million.
Given that the player is currently the most important player at Al Ahly, he has requested that his contract be amended and his salary increased to be close to the salaries of Zizo, Bencharki, and El Shenawy.
Al Ahly’s management has contacted Emam Ashour’s agent in the last few hours to hold a round of negotiations aimed at renewing the player’s contract and increasing his salary as desired.
An official agreement is expected to be reached in the coming days regarding the renewal, which will extend Imam’s new contract for two additional years, with a salary that could reach EGP 60 million annually.
It’s worth noting that Emam Ashour, who is in his second year with Al Ahly, has scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 30 matches across all competitions this season.
