Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique raised controversy over the possibility of Kylian Mbappé continuing at the French club and not moving to Real Madrid.
French media had confirmed that Mbappe had informed PSG management of his departure at the end of the season, and that he was close to agreeing with the Spanish club on all the details.
Paris is preparing to face Marseille in the French League, and during the press conference, Enrique was asked if this was the last “Clasico” that Mbappé would play.
The Spanish coach responded, saying, “Who said that? I still hope that Mbappe will continue with us at Paris Saint-Germain.”
He also added, “He has not announced anything yet. Maybe he will change his mind, who knows?”
He concluded, “Imagine we won four titles this season and Mbappe decided to continue at Paris Saint-Germain. Why wouldn’t that happen?”
