FIFA is considering 4 revolutionary changes to football

Mundo Deportivo reported that the International Federation of Football Associations is considering making 4 very revolutionary changes to the matches of the beautiful game.

Perhaps the most prominent change that would change the shape of the entire game would be in the offside law.

FIFA now has an idea to change the offside law so that offside is only counted if the attacker has passed the last defender of the opposing team with his entire body.

Currently, it is enough for the attacker to have passed even a few centimeters with any part of his body for offside to be counted, which many saw as somewhat unfair and should be looked into.

FIFA is also considering requiring referees to speak to the fans after making certain decisions, and this idea has already been implemented more than once in more than one tournament, most notably the Club World Cup, and the intention is to generalize it.

As for the third idea, it is for the coach to have the right to request the intervention of video technology.

To prevent wasting time, FIFA is considering giving the referee the power to stop time, for the first time in football history, in the event of a controversial situation or serious injury.

It should be noted that even if FIFA adopts these decisions, it will first need to test them in amateur levels before generalizing them in all club and national team tournaments around the world.
