Mohamed Salah scored a goal and made another during Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday at Anfield in the Premier League.
Salah reached 10 goals this season with the Reds in all competitions, in addition to 10 assists, and he is the first player to achieve this in the top five leagues in Europe this season.
At the same time, the Egyptian international gave a lesson to everyone in the concept of continuity, and this is what the numbers prove.
Over the 8 years that Salah spent at Liverpool, 7 of which he was able to score 10 goals or more and make the same number, only the 2020-21 season failed to achieve this.
However, this season witnessed strong numbers for Salah, as he scored 31 goals and made 6 others.
Liverpool coach Arne Slot commented on Salah’s numbers this season by stressing that he is the best player in the Reds so far.
“Mohamed Salah has the best numbers among all our strikers, all our strikers have good numbers, but Salah is clearly superior in this regard,” said the Dutchman. Salah is now second in the Premier League’s top scorers with 8 goals, 4 goals behind current leader Erling Haaland.
