For a strange reason… Real Madrid is “forced” to keep Ceballos!

The “Relevo” network reported that Real Madrid is forced to keep Dani Ceballos despite the lack of technical need for him and Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of conviction in his abilities.

Ceballos played only a few matches last season, and it was said that he was planning to leave Merengue, while Ancelotti did not mind leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.

But due to UEFA regulations, Real Madrid was forced to try to keep Ceballos, specifically after captain Nacho Fernandez left the ranks of the Royal Club.

The talk here is about the rule that stipulates that there must be at least 8 local players on each team’s roster.

With Ceballos, Real Madrid currently has only 7 players who have Spanish nationality: Dani Carvajal, Fran Garcia, Lucas Vázquez, Federico Valverde, Rodrigo and Vinicius Junior.

Real Madrid will need to promote a player from the youth team until it reaches 8 local players, as stipulated in the regulations, which makes Ceballos’ departure complicated because it will cause a legal gap that will be difficult to resolve with coach Ancelotti’s roster.

The player’s position on continuing with Real Madrid next season has not yet been revealed, noting that newspapers reported his complaints about remaining largely on the bench last season.
