Kylian Mbappé scored from a free kick for the first time in his career in the match between Real Madrid and Leganés on Saturday.
In the 76th minute, Rodrygo won a free kick from the edge of the penalty area, and after a fine combination between Mbappé and Fran Garcia, the Frenchman was able to convert the ball with a powerful shot.
This was Mbappé’s second goal of the match, after he had scored his first goal from a penalty kick in the 31st minute.
In general, free kicks have been a weakness for Mbappé throughout his career, and he has even said on several occasions that he aspires to master them and become like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 25-year-old’s goal tally has reached 32 goals in 31 games in all competitions this season, his most for Real Madrid so far.
We leave you with Mbappé’s brilliant free kick execution.
