Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal, revealed that he had never spoken to Lionel Messi, even though he dreams of achieving this in the coming period.
The 16-year-old, who is very popular with Barcelona, had a photo spread of him as a baby with Messi in the bathtub.
Regarding this photo, Yamal said, “Certainly at the time the photo was taken, I did not know what was happening.”
He also added, “My father kept this photo and we never highlighted it because of the issue of comparisons. It is not good for me to be compared to Messi now.”
He continued, “I certainly will not be bothered by comparison to the best player in history, but in the end it diminishes me because I will never be like him.”
He concluded, “I have never spoken to Messi. I hope to achieve this soon.”
