For the second time.. Zamalek sues Kahraba

Egyptian media reported that Zamalek filed a report against Al-Ahly star Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport fined Kahraba $2 million, 476 thousand and 438 to be paid to Zamalek after his illegal departure from the club to the Portuguese club Aves in 2019.

Kahraba paid the fine last February, but there is still a remaining part that he has not paid and should have been paid months ago, amounting to 6 million and 500 thousand Egyptian pounds.

Zamalek gave the player more than one grace period in the past weeks to pay, but nothing new, so the first official step was taken against the Al-Ahly star.

Zamalek officials went to a bank to cash the check for the last part of the fine on Wednesday evening, but they found that Kahraba’s account did not have sufficient funds.

The White Club officials received a bank rejection of the check signed by Kahraba, then they went and filed a report against Kahraba, which is the first step in turning the matter into a lawsuit.

In the coming days, Kahraba is expected to move to pay the fine, otherwise the case seems settled in Zamalek’s favor and may eventually lead him to prison for at least three years.
