Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp announced that Diogo Jota will be absent from his team for two weeks due to injury.
The Portuguese star has just returned from a long injury that kept him out of the field for nearly two months, during a crucial period in which Liverpool is competing for the English Premier League shield.
According to Klopp, Jota suffered a minor blow in Fulham’s last match, but the pain does not leave him, so he needs treatment for a maximum of two weeks.
Because of this, Liverpool will lose Jota’s services in the match against Everton on Wednesday, as well as the match between West Ham and Tottenham, with the hope that he will recover and join the match against Aston Villa next May 13 at Villa Park.
This is the third injury that Jota has suffered this season, after a first injury that kept him out of action for 24 days, and a second injury that kept him out of the field for nearly two months.
The 27-year-old remains one of Liverpool’s most influential players, having scored 15 goals and assisted 4 others in 35 appearances in all tournaments this season.
