Arturo Vidal, the former Barcelona player, confirmed that he had hoped to join Real Madrid, and revealed that he was actually close to the Merengue at some point.
Vidal played with Barcelona for two years from 2018 to 2020, but his exceptional period in his career is always known when he was a player in Juventus between 2011 and 2015.
According to the Chilean star, he was close to moving to Real Madrid when he decided to leave Juventus in 2015, but he eventually joined Bayern Munich.
Vidal said in press statements, “I certainly wished and would have loved to play for Real Madrid.”
Meanwhile, the current Colo-Colo player answered a question about the toughest club he has faced throughout his career by saying, “Barcelona.”
He specified, “When we faced Barcelona in 2015 in the Champions League final, and I was in Juventus, they were definitely the most difficult opponent.”
