Former Barcelona Star: Vinicius Junior Is Disappointing With Brazil!

Brazilian football legend Rivaldo has described Vinicius Junior’s performance with the Brazilian national team as “disappointing,” and that the Real Madrid star needs to improve internationally and make a clear impact with the Seleção.

Rivaldo’s comments come after Brazil’s humiliating 4-1 defeat to Argentina in a World Cup qualifier, with Vinicius barely contributing in the match and attracting harsh criticism.

Regarding his country’s humiliating defeat, Rivaldo, a Barcelona legend, said, “The team was completely lost on the pitch and in a clear state of chaos. We lacked intensity, and the players were lost and had no response mechanism.”

He added, “Vinicius has played a large number of international matches, but what has he contributed? He has only scored six goals. He needs to improve to take the national team as far as possible.”

He concluded, “Vinicius must play better because he’s a great player. He must be a benchmark for the Brazilian national team, as must Rafinha Dias and Rodrygo.”

The Brazilian Football Confederation announced the dismissal of coach Dorival Junior following Argentina’s defeat, and Jorge Jesus is currently the leading candidate to succeed him as coach of the Samba nation.
